Forgotten Felines work hard to place our kittens into loving homes where they will be cared for and looked after properly. We love hearing about how our cats and kittens are getting on, so if you've adopted one of our cats or kittens please email us and let us know how our new family additions are doing!
Here are few stories of some successful placements. We're so glad they found homes!
![]() "Just wanted to let you know that a week after moving in, Truffles is doing so well in his new home (Although we call him Loki!) While he is full of antics all day, making a game out of anything and everything, at night he curls up at the foot of our bed and purrs the loudest of any cat I've ever met! Thanks so much to you and Angelique for doing an amazing job training him, he is a great cat." |

| Tyson and Thumberlina -
May 2010
"Tyson and Thumberlina settled into their
new environment straight away and are always up to
mischief. Our girls love them to bits, a little much
sometimes but the kittens are very tolerant and seem to
strangely enjoy the attention. They are also the most
photographed pets I know! They have started to venture
outside, but not too far at this stage. I think that
Thumberlina is now the dominant one which is funny
because she is such a little lady. They are both very
cuddly and are usually curled up on the girls bed in the
evening (I now have two extra children to put to bed!)" |

| Shirah - January 2010

"We adopted a kitten called Shirah from Sandra late last year. She's delightful, the sweetest temperament cat we've ever seen, she's healthy and lively and playful, you can tell she's been really cared for by the fosterer which makes her very special. She loves tummy rubs and sleeping on the bed with us, and likes being in the room with people, she's a significant addition to our household. Thanks so much for the work you've done." |

Molly began life when she was born under a deck to an abandoned Mum. If Forgotten Felines had not been able to take her, her fate was sealed and she would have been put to sleep. Now she has a wonderful life with her new owner who says: "Molly has settled in fantastically, she was a bit shy and spooked at first and hid, but then came out and started to show off her fun and affectionate side. She is really playful, very sweet and loving, cuddles up with us at night and purrs contentedly. Thank you so much Forgotten Felines, Molly is a wonderful addition to our family". |

| Timmy + Mickey - July 2009 | |

Timmy and Mickey were born wild to an abandoned mother, and were taken in, loved and tamed by Forgotten Felines. They were lucky enough to be adopted together to a loving family, and their new owner has said: "Our family are happy and content. Timmy is definitely not timid anymore he is more adventurous than Mickey, and has no trouble finding the food when he is hungry. Mickey needs lots of love and attention as he is a little scared still, but we are working on them both to ensure that their time with us is great." "Thanks for the hard work you all do with these cats, we now have a couple of lovely additions to our home." |

Roxy was an adventerous young kitten who was incredibly affectionate. She was adopted out to a fantastic owner, who has said: "Roxy is the most wonderful and affectionate kitty. I love her to bits. She is doing very well and loves all the attention she is getting from the whole family. The first day she was a bit shy and preferred being under the bed but that night she kept me up and we bonded, and became friends. She loves sitting with me aspecially if I'm on the green chair which is fit for a queen so no surprises there." "She loves finding new comfortable places to snooze and wants to climb ontop of everything. I want to thank forgotten felines and Debra for making the transition so easy. |

| Clyde - March 2009 | |

Clyde was brought into the vet to be put to sleep as the "owner" didn't want him any more. The vet saw how beautiful and friendly he was and refused to put him down, so contacted FF. He came to an FF fosterer, then, while back at the vets for a visit, someone walked into the vets who recognised him as the lost cat of a friend. The real owners duly arrived with photos of him, and advised that they had been searching for him for nearly a year. Over the moon, his family took him home, and he promptly went straight upstairs to their sons bedroom where he had always slept and settled down on the bed. Isn't that one lucky cat? |

A couple of months ago, four kittens were born to an adandoned Mum under someone's front door steps. Forgotten Felines took the kittens and they have all gone to fantastic homes. Two of the kittens (named JD and Harley) were adopted out together, and their new owner has said: "The boys are growing fast and are well settled now - able to go outside and they don't wander far off. They are very sociable and cope well with visitors. They have had their injections and Harley had some claws clipped. The vet said they were both in good condition and commended us on our choices! JD continues to be the bigger and rougher of the two but Harley stands no nonsense and is rather more adventurous outside. He is now eating more than JD so may well be putting on a growth spurt. Our boys really enjoy them and are taking some responsibility for looking after them." Without a doubt this is another fantastic success story :) If you have adopted one of our rescued kittens, please let us know how they are getting on - we'd love to hear your story! |

| Holly - Feb 2009 | |
![]() |
|
|
Holly has lived in a Silverdale cat colony for many years. As you can see she is missing the tip of her ear, which is the world wide identification mark that a stray cat has been desexed. She and many others were being fed by a kind old gent who asked for Forgotten Felines help. When Holly was trapped she seemed reasonably tame, at least half way to tame! She was the old gents favourite, so perhaps that had something to do with it. Instead of putting her straight back into the colony when we had her desexed, she went to a fosterer. The fosterer fell in love with her and now, Holly has a home for life with the fosterer. After many months of love and care, she has integrated well with the fosterers other cats and even accepts the new foster kittens. She now sleeps on the bed with her adoring "parents" and lives a life of luxury. Talk about stepping up in the world! It truly is a tale of rags to riches. |

Muffin and Little Man were both born to an abandoned Mum. Forgotten Felines were notified just before Christmas and one of our dedicated volunteers spent some time trapping the litter and mother. Once caught, the little kit's were desexed and placed into foster care to be nurtured and loved. Brittany and Simon went to look at the kittens and took a liking to Muffin, adopting her that day. It appears that Little Man played on Simon's mind, and they came back a little day later to adopt him too! Brittany and James have said: |
Simba - Jan 2009 |

Forgotten Felines were asked to help trap at a new colony. It turned out that there were 14 cats and kittens at this colony, who had been living off rubbish bin scraps. The kittens were all caught, neutured and sent to the fosterers for taming, but when this beauty was caught we were suprised to find her tame and had been living with the colony for several weeks. Now Simba (previously Amber) has gone to a fabulous home where she is loved, and cared for. She will never have to scavange again. The four adult cats who had to be returned to this colony, have all been desexed, and are fed daily by Forgotten Felines Her new owner has said "Simba seems to be settling in really well. By last night she was rubbing herself all over us and was purring a lot. Obviously she is still a little standoffish, so we are just letting her initiate all the contact at this stage. (Our son adores her and sits talking to her whenever he can)." |
